Platts now includes Barcelona in its FOB Mediterranean gasoline cargo assessment and MOC process effective September 29, 2017, following a review.
Platts will publish bids, offers and trades for gasoline cargoes loading FOB Barcelona. The assessment reflects cargoes loading FOB basis Santa Panagia Bay or Sarroch 10-25 days from date of publication, with value normalized to reflect the mean value of the delivery period. Loadings taking place in other Mediterranean locations may be considered in the MOC assessment process and normalized back to reflect value basis Santa Panagia Bay.
Barcelona is an active blending and storage hub in the Mediterranean, where a range of market participants operate. The location will be added to the eWindow software in due course.
This decision follows a proposal published on August 17, 2017 and a subsequent note published on September 1, 2017.
