Platts clarifies guidelines on Gorgon, Wheatstone LNG port nominations in its LNG MOC

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, would like to clarify that, with immediate effect, it will publish offers with loading ports of Australia's Gorgon or Wheatstone LNG, reported in the Platts LNG Market on Close assessment process from S&P Global.

Sellers can nominate Gorgon or Wheatstone LNG either as a base loading port when expressing interest to trade a bid in the MOC or as an alternative loading port following a trade reported via the MOC.

This follows recent developments in Australia of the easing of industrial action regarding these LNG projects, with parties endorsing recommendations made by an industrial tribunal.

Platts had stated Aug. 29 that it would not publish offers with loading port nominated as Australia's Gorgon or Wheatstone LNG, reported in the LNG MOC, until further notice, via a subscriber note here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/082923-platts-clarifies-guidelines-on-gorgon-and-wheatstone-lng-port-nominations-in-its-lng-moc-process
