S&P Global Platts to introduce German THE gas hub spot contracts Sept. 30

S&P Global Platts will introduce spot natural gas assessments to its suite of European gas numbers on Sept. 30 in conjunction with the German hub merger on Oct. 1.

The German THE day-ahead and weekend (final working day only) assessments will replace the existing equivalents for both the NetConnect Germany an GASPOOL hubs, which will be discontinued on the same date.

The spot THE assessments will be available on the European Power Alert Fixed Page EP0802 and the Natural Gas Alert Fixed Page NG0802, as well as including conversions from Eur/MWh to pence/therm, $/MMBtu, and Eur/Gj, from Sept. 30 onwards.

The NCG and GASPOOL legacy spot assessments will be assessed for the final time on Sept. 29 and will be discontinued on Sept. 30 as well as all conversions, flow data, trade data, and monthly average assessments associated with the day-ahead and weekend assessments.

Fixed Pages EP0824, NG0831, EP0826, and EP0832 will be discontinued from Sept. 30 onwards as a result for the discontinuation of the NCG and GASPOOL assessments.

For the Monthly Averages, Fixed Pages EP0866 and EP0867 will see the introduction of the THE month-ahead monthly average with the removal of the NCG and GASPOOL equivalents on Oct. 1.
