Please note that S&P Global Platts Group 3 suboctane and premium suboctane gasoline assessments will reflect 11.5 RVP, effective September 18, 2017.
Platts reflects next business day injections into the Magellan Pipeline at Tulsa, Oklahoma, in Group 3 gasoline assessments. The change is based on a statement by the pipeline that it has been shipping 11.5 RVP gasoline in all states except Colorado and Wyoming under a waiver granted by the Environmental Protection Agency. The waiver was granted to help the oil industry address production problems linked to Hurricane Harvey.
This note supersedes a note published August 28 pointing to a shift to 10 RVP gasoline on September 18 under the previously published Magellan RVP transition calendar.
The change is due to seasonal adjustments to RVP levels as required by Magellan Midstream Partners' pipeline system.
