Please note that, effective Sept. 14, 2020, S&P Global Platts will further define the port basis for its Diesel 10 ppm UK Cargoes CIF NWE assessment.
This follows an extensive feedback and review process as part of an earlier change in methodology for the Diesel 10 ppm UK Cargoes CIF NWE assessment on Sept. 1, 2020: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/090120-platts-amends-specification-reflected-in-diesel-10ppm-uk-cargoes-cif-nwe-assessment
From Sept. 14, the Diesel 10 ppm UK Cargoes CIF NWE assessment (AAVBH00) will reflect the delivery of UK specification ultra-low sulfur diesel into a basket of UK ports with the following weightings: Thames (50%); Cardiff (30%); Humber (20%). This is in line with the port basis reflected in the previous netforward methodology for this assessment.
Bids, offers and trades published during the Platts Market on Close assessment process for Diesel 10 ppm UK Cargoes CIF NWE will be normalized from Sept. 14 to reflect the value of UK diesel for delivery into this basket of disports.
The assessment will continue to reflect 10,000 mt-40,000 mt cargoes, with value normalized to a typical cargo size of 30,000 mt with plus or minus 10% operational tolerance.
