SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue weekly FOB China Silicomanganese assessment

Following a period of industry feedback, Platts will discontinue publication of the weekly FOB China Silicomanganese 65% Price assessment (MMAJK00).

The final value for this price will be published on October 29, 2015.

Spot export activity for Silicomanganese has fallen significantly due to an export duty of 20% in recent years, and preliminary market research shows that this price is no longer representative of most market activity.

Market participants have provided feedback that the China prices are no longer representative and do not serve a purpose as an industry reference.
