SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue DDP NW Europe steel HRC/CRC assessments

S&P Global Platts has decided to discontinue the daily delivered duty paid Northwest European steel hot-rolled coil and cold-rolled coil assessments (codes AAWVM00 and AAWWB00) from December 1, 2016.

Platts will discontinue these assessments because of a lack of trade liquidity on this INCO term basis (DDP).

Platts publishes daily ex-works Ruhr assessments for both HRC and CRC: this is the more regularly cited basis for comparable transactions.
