Platts intends to publish, starting October 3, 2011, a daily seaborne spot price assessment for 52%-Fe CFR North China iron ore fines in addition to its current iron ore assessments.
Platts invites feedback from market participants on the proposed new price.
Platts intends to normalize iron ore grades between 50%-Fe and 54%-Fe to 52% Fe with 8% alumina and 8% silica.
