Sept 1 Singapore presidential elections publishing schedule for Asia chemicals

Following the announcement of presidential elections and a public holiday, the S&P Global Commodity Insights office in Singapore will be closed on Friday, Sept. 1, and there will be no chemical, exchange rate publications and assessments published in Asia on this day.

  • Asian weekly assessments and weekly averages which are normally published on Friday will be brought forward to Aug. 31
  • Asian Petrochemical Scan will be brought forward to Aug. 31
  • Olefinscan will be published as usual on Sept.1, and will carry Aug. 31 assessments for olefins in Asia, Sept. 1 assessments for other regions.

Platts will follow the normal publishing schedule on Thursday, Aug. 31 – there will be no early Market on Close assessment process. All prices will be assessed as of 4:30 pm Singapore time.

Normal Singapore publishing schedule will resume on Monday, Sept. 4.

Platts previously informed the market on Aug. 11 that Sept. 1 would be a non-publishing day if the Singapore government were to observe it as a public holiday.
