SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue CFR Asia CRC price series

S&P Global Platts will discontinue two CFR Asia cold rolled coil steel price series from October 2, 2017, following a review of spot trade flows and product specifications.

This follows subscriber notes on this subject published June 2 and June 29.

The two price series are: CRC CFR East Asia (SB01084) TSI CRC Asean Imports CFR Asean Port Wkly (TS01042)

Trade flows to Southeast Asia are fragmented by grade, destination and concentrated mainly in term contract settlements rather than spot trade. Platts publishes a weekly CRC FOB China assessment (SB01083) Tuesdays.
