Platts proposes to include Barcelona in its FOB Mediterranean gasoline cargo assessment and MOC process following a review.
Platts proposes to publish bids, offers and trades for gasoline cargoes loading FOB Barcelona. The assessment reflects cargoes loading FOB basis Santa Panagia Bay or Sarroch 10-25 days from the date of publication, with value normalized to reflect the mean value of the delivery period. Loadings taking place in other Mediterranean locations may be considered in the MOC assessment process and normalized back to reflect value basis Santa Panagia Bay.
Barcelona is an active blending and storage hub in the Mediterranean, where a range of market participants operate. The location would be added to the eWindow software in due course.
