S&P Global Platts proposes to expand the list of ports reflected in its Market on Close assessment process for FOB Mediterranean Premium Unleaded 10ppm gasoline cargoes, effective Oct. 1, 2021, to include Augusta in Italy.
Platts understands that Augusta is an active export location for gasoline, connected to two large-capacity refineries.
Platts understands the port to be suitable to load Medium Range tankers and to have a storage capacity of around 4 million cu m.
Platts currently publishes bids and offers in this market for the following locations:
Croatia: Rijeka;
Cyprus: VTT Vasiliko;
Greece: Aspropyrgos, Thessaloniki;
Italy: Falconara, Genoa, Milazzo, Santa Panagia Bay, Sarroch;
Malta: Malta;
Morocco: Tangier Med;
Spain: Barcelona, Castellon
Platts is requesting feedback on the suitability of including Augusta in its MOC process for FOB Mediterranean Premium Unleaded 10ppm gasoline cargoes, as well as the current list of ports reflected in the assessment process.
The FOB Med Premium Unleaded gasoline cargo assessment is published in Platts European Marketscan, on Platts Global Alert page 1320, as well as in the Platts price database under the code AAWZA00.
