Platts to launch new daily and monthly natural gas indices

Following a review of market feedback, Platts will launch new daily and monthly locations at Pine Prairie Hub, Rover, Kern River and Northwest, Rocky Mountain Pool, beginning September 30, 2019, for October 1 gas flow for daily market and September 24, 2019, for October 2019 bidweek for monthly market.

The new locations will be as follows:

Pine Prairie Hub (daily and monthly): Deliveries into and out of interstate and intrastate pipelines at the Pine Prairie header system in Louisiana. Pipelines include Tennessee Gas Pipe Line, Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line, Texas Eastern Transmission, Columbia Gas Transmission, Texas Gas Transmission, Florida Gas Transmission, ANR Pipeline and Kinder Morgan Louisiana Pipeline. Included are deliveries and receipts into and out of Pine Prairie storage.

Rover, delivered (daily and monthly): Deliveries from Rover Pipeline into ANR Pipeline and Panhandle Eastern Pipeline in Defiance County, Ohio.

ICE Rover, delivered into ANR and ICE Rover, delivered into Panhandle will continue to be listed and transactions done for each contract will roll up into the proposed Rover, delivered daily and monthly index.

Kern River, delivered (monthly): Deliveries from Kern River Gas Transmission upstream of the Southern California Gas system in the Las Vegas, NV, area; excluded are deliveries at Wheeler Ridge, Kramer Junction and Daggett.

Northwest, Rocky Mountain Pool (daily): Deliveries into Northwest Pipeline from the Green River, WY, compressor station to the Moab compressor station in San Juan County, Utah. Not included are transactions done at White River Hub.

The following ICE locations will be discontinued as a result of the new listings:

ICE Pine Prairie Hub (daily and monthly)

ICE Kern River, on system delivery (monthly)
