Platts proposes new price locations for North American natural gas

Following initial research, Platts proposes to add to its daily and monthly bidweek North American spot-price surveys two new locations: Texas Eastern M-2, receipts and Millennium Pipeline, receipts. The two new daily postings would begin effective trade date Friday, September 28, for flow date October 1. The new monthly bidweek postings would begin effective with the late-September bidweek for October delivery. Below are the descriptions of the proposed locations:

Texas Eastern M-2, receipts Deliveries to Texas Eastern Transmission on its 24- and 30-inch-diameter lines in the pipeline's Market Zone 2, which extends on the 24-inch line from the Illinois-Indiana state line to the suction side of Bern compressor station in Lewisville, Ohio, and on the 30-inch line from the Tennessee-Kentucky state line to the suction side of Delmont station in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and to the discharge side of Station Site No. 22 in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Millennium Pipeline, receipts Deliveries to Millennium Pipeline downstream of the Corning compressor station in Steuben County, New York, and upstream of the Ramapo interconnect with Algonquin Gas Transmission in Rockland County, New York. Both new daily postings would appear in the "Appalachia" section of Gas Daily's "Daily price survey" table and the "Northeast" section of Energy Trader's "Daily spot gas prices" table. The new monthly bidweek postings would appear in the "Prices of Spot Gas Delivered to Pipelines" tables in Inside FERC's Gas Market Report, Energy Trader and Gas Daily Price Guide and the "Bidweek Physical Basis Prices Delivered to Pipelines" table in Inside FERC's Gas Market Report and Gas Daily Price Guide. The prices also would be published on Natural Gas Alert and in Platts Market Data.
