Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has begun publishing the daily CME CBL N-GEO Trailing and C-GEO-Trailing futures settlements, effective Aug. 8.
This follows on from an announcement July 29 and available here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/072922-platts-to-begin-publication-of-n-geo-trailing-spot-and-n-geo-and-c-geo-trailing-settlement-prices
The new CME CBL futures settlements in the CMR market data category, along with the CME CBL GEO, N-GEO and C-GEO futures settlements. They will also be available on Platts Dimensions Pro and a select number in Carbon Markets Daily.
Platts will assess the CME CBL N-GEO Trailing and C-GEO Trailing futures contracts in line with its existing methodology for the other CME CBL futures contracts. The methodology is available here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/PlattsContent/_assets/_files/en/our-methodology/methodology-specifications/method_carbon_credits.pdf
Additionally, please note that the CME CBL N-GEO Trailing futures contract will launch front-month July 23 and will expire July 26, 2023. The C-GEO Trailing futures contract will follow existing CME CBL futures contracts.
