Platts proposes to launch a cumulative monthly average price, monthly average price for U3O8

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to launch a cumulative monthly average U3O8 price and an average price for the previous month effective Aug. 31, 2023.

In addition to the existing assessments in Canada, the cumulative monthly average price will be the arithmetic mean of daily current month U3O8 prices (AFUEM01) for the calendar month to date and will be published daily.

The monthly average price will be the mean of the previous calendar month's daily prices as assessed by Platts every day of each month.

The prices would follow the US holiday calendar, with details to be found in the Platts holiday calendar online: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/holiday

The new average monthly prices would be published alongside the existing Canada price and the locational differentials on Platts Dimensions Pro, on Platts real-time fixed pages PEA0308 and PEP0308, and in the Nuclear Fuel report and the Nuclear Fuel Uranium Pricing Supplement.
