S&P Global Platts will launch two weekly, delivered, duty-paid European aluminum 6060/6063 standard billet assessments.
The launch will be made on the back of regular and increasing market demand for greater pricing intelligence for the aluminum billet market.
The first assessment day will be Friday September 7, 2018. This follows a period of market consultation since July 2.
The new assessments will be: Aluminum billet 6060/6063 DDP Germany Aluminum billet 6060/6063 DDP Italy
The specification will be aluminum billet with a diameter of 7-inch or 8-inch, basis delivered duty-paid in Germany and Italy as a 6060/6063 billet on the top of the aluminum LME cash price.
Payment terms will be 30 days for Germany delivered billet and 60 days for Italy delivered billet, with other payment terms being normalized according to Platts standards.
Minimum volume will be 50 mt and the delivery window will be prompt to 60 days and the currency and unit of measurement will be dollars per metric ton.
S&P Global Platts will also publish Eur/mt symbols as a currency conversion for both the USD/mt assessments.
