Platts clarifies Duqm is a part of port options reflected in its Middle East cargo Market on Close assessment process

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, would like to clarify that Duqm is a part of port options reflected in its Market on Close assessment process for naphtha, gasoline, gasoil, jet fuel and fuel oil cargoes on an FOB Fujairah basis, as well as their related FOB Arab Gulf physical differentials.

Cargoes loading from safe ports in the Middle East would be considered for inclusion in the assessments, including but not limited to Duqm, Fujairah, Jebel Ali, Jubail, Mina Abdulla, Mina Al Ahmadi, Ras Laffan, Ras Tanura, Ruwais, Shuaiba, Sitra and Sohar. Platts will only publish offers where sellers specify at least one and no more than three representative load points and would only publish bids where buyers specify at least three representative load points.

For all trades reported through the Platts Market on Close process for the above assessments, the seller would declare the terminal 12 days prior to loading. The buyer would nominate the vessel seven days prior to loading and narrow the loading window to three days, subject to terminal acceptance.
