S&P Global Platts proposes to discontinue its Portland, Oregon, residual fuel oil assessments with effect from September 22, 2016.
Platts has already announced the discontinuation of its Portland bunker fuel assessments with effect from September 22 due to diminished market liquidity.
Typically, Platts Portland heavy oil assessments have been calculated with reference to these bunker assessments.
The discontinuations include daily assessments and monthly averages. These assessments appear on PGA pages 158, 550 and 551; in the publications Asia-Pacific/Arab Gulf Marketscan, Oilgram Price Report and US Marketscan; and in the Platts database under the following codes:
ASSESSMENT CODE (DAILY) CODE (MONTHLY AVERAGE) Portland pipeline 180 CST PUAWV00 PUAWV03 380 CST PUAXB00 PUAXB03
