SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes to discontinue weekly FOB China Ferromanganese assessment

Platts is proposing to discontinue publication of the weekly FOB China High Carbon 75% Ferromanganese Price assessment (MMAIR00) by October 30, 2015.

Spot export activity for ferromanganese has fallen significantly due to an export duty of 20% in recent years, and preliminary market research shows that this price is no longer representative of significant market activity.

Should the discontinuation be finalized after further industry consultation, the final value for this price will be published on October 29, 2015.
