Platts states expectations of US, Canada natural gas price submitters to respond to trade questions the same business day

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, clarifies that all US and Canadian submitters of natural gas prices are expected to respond to trade questions on the same business day before the indexes are published.

Should a price submitter respond after indexes are published, Platts will apply its correction standard in determining whether to correct the index based on the information provided.

Platts has recently observed a high number of corrections to its natural gas indexes. These corrections have occurred because price submitters have not responded to questions regarding submitted trades until the next business day after the indexes have been published.

Platts will continue to make every effort to contact price submitters as early as possible.
