SUBSCRIBER NOTE: S&P Global Platts to expand list of ports reflected for LSFO Med cargoes

London (Platts)--6Jul2018/1044 am EDT/1444 GMT

S&P Global Platts has decided to expand the list of ports reflected in its Market on Close assessment process for Mediterranean low sulfur fuel oil cargoes, effective July 9, 2018.

Platts currently publishes bids and offers into the following five locations: Milazzo, Malta, Gibraltar, Algeciras, and Ceuta, as detailed in a subscriber note available here: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/020818-sa mpp-global-platts-publishes-list-of-moc-locations-reflected-for-european-hsfo- lsfo-cargoes.

Following extensive market feedback Platts will also publish bids and offers for the following ports in the MOC: Lavrion, Vassilikos, Agioi Theodori, Eleusis and Barcelona.

Platts will, effective July 9, 2018, start publishing bids and offers for these ports in the MOC, in addition to the five ports currently reflected.

The locations will be added to eWindow functionality at a later date. In the interim, Platts would expect market participants wishing to bid or offer into one of the new ports via the eWindow software to select the generic 'Port' hub and specify the name of the port in the Terms, Quality and Conditions (TQC) box.

This followed a note in which Platts proposed a larger list of 10 ports to be added: Lavrion, Atherinolakkos, Vassilikos, Agioi Theodori, Eleusis, Beirut, Aliaga, Barcelona, Livorno, and Naples.
