Singapore (Platts)--4Jul2018/1227 am EDT/427 GMT Following a period of industry consultation and feedback, S&P Global Platts has launched a new Kozmino to North China dirty Aframax tanker assessment, effective July 2, 2018.
Platts has observed growing liquidity on the Kozmino to North China dirty tanker route with ESPO crude cargoes predominantly fixed basis a stem size of 100,000 mt.
This was first proposed in a note published May 2, 2018 (https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/27969967).
The Kozmino to North China 100,000 mt assessment is published on a lumpsum basis and expressed as US dollars per voyage. The lumpsum assessment is also published in dollars per metric ton, which is calculated by dividing the primary lumpsum assessments by the cargo size reflected in the assessment.
The assessment reflects loadings from Kozmino and discharges into North China ports such as Qingdao, Dalian, Laizhou and Longkou.
