July 01, 2025
Following the new Marine Terminal Assistance Fees at Ras Tanura port, the Worldscale Association has increased the flat rate for the port of Ras Tanura and added additional cost for Saudi Arabia voyages starting July 1.
As a result, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has amended the Worldscale flat basis rate used to calculate FOB Arab Gulf assessments for naphtha, gasoil and jet/kerosene following this change.
According to Worldscale circular no. 28/2025, the amendments are effective for all voyages on which loading is commenced on or after July 1.
The new Worldscale flat basis rate used to calculate FOB Arab Gulf naphtha assessments will be $26.48/mt, instead of $26.43/mt. The new Worldscale flat basis rate used to calculate FOB Arab Gulf gasoil and jet/kerosene assessments will be $14.55/mt, instead of $14.51/mt.
The changes were first announced in a subscriber note published May 23.
