Effective Friday, July 1, 2016, Platts has moved the time stamp reflected in its Americas biofuel, DDGS and grains assessments to reflect a closing value of 2:30 pm Eastern Standard Time.
This change followed a review of feedback after a formal proposal published on March 15, 2016, as well as a previous review and consultation period that began January 26, 2016, with the decision announced April 29, 2016.
Previously, all Platts assessments in these markets for the Americas reflected a closing value of 3:15 pm Eastern Standard Time.
This change affects all North American ethanol, biodiesel, RIN, RVO, DDGS and corn assessments as well as Brazilian ethanol assessments.
The final time for new bids and offers to be entered into the Platts Market on Close assessment process will move concurrently with the change in closing value to 2:00 pm Eastern Standard Time or 1:00 pm Central Time.
There is no change to the Platts Ethanol assessment product incrementability or 1 minute final state or 'freeze period'.
