SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts extends feedback period on list of ports reflected for LSFO Med cargoes

London (Platts)--29Jun2018/1046 am EDT/1446 GMT S&P Global Platts is extending the deadline to submit feedback, as well as the implementation date, for its proposal to expand the list of ports reflected in its Market on Close assessment process for Mediterranean low sulfur fuel oil cargoes to July 3, 2018. The original deadline for feedback was June 25, 2018. The changes would take effect from July 9, 2018.

Platts currently publishes bids and offers into the following five locations: Milazzo, Malta, Gibraltar, Algeciras, and Ceuta, as detailed in a subscriber note available here: https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/10222785 Following market feedback Platts understands that the following ten ports are also regular importers of low sulfur fuel oil: Lavrion, Atherinolakkos, Vassilikos, Agioi Theodori, Eleusis, Beirut, Aliaga, Barcelona, Livorno, and Naples.

Platts proposes, effective July 9, 2018, to start publishing bids and offers for these ports in the MOC, in addition to the five ports currently reflected. The original proposed launch date was July 2, 2018.

Platts is requesting feedback on all aspects of this proposal, including the suitability of the new ports listed, and whether additional reports should also be reflected.
