Following feedback on its announcement on March 9, 2017, on a review of additives reflected in its FOB Singapore gasoil assessments, Platts confirmed it will begin to reflect the new additives from June 16, which has been used around the region.
The additives are flow improvers Infineum R274 and Infineum R275D.
Platts proposed this addition in a subscriber note published March 9, 2017. (http://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/27786650)
Platts understands that Infineum R274 is a dilution of Infineum R240. Infineum R274 has been used for blending purposes in Singapore and by refiners in the city-state.
Infineum R275D has been used for blending purposes and consumed in countries around the region, including countries such as Australia and Saudi Arabia.
Platts proposes to add this additive to the list of recognized additives reflected in its assessment process.
