Platts launches Recycled-PP daily spot assessments for Northwest Europe

Due to increasing demand for transparent information on the recycled plastics markets, S&P Global Platts has launched two daily spot assessments for recycled polypropylene pellets in Northwest Europe, effective June 23, 2021.

The daily spot assessments take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm London time.

The new assessments in Eur/mt have the following specifications:

Basis: Delivered duty paid, where applicable, within Northwest Europe. NWE includes Germany, Benelux region, France and Switzerland.

Standard spot cargo size: Minimum 20 mt lots

R-PP Black Pellets: Black colored recycled PP pellets from post-consumer waste, with a Melt Flow Index, MFI, of 20-25 g/10min tested at 230 degC/2.16kg. Pellets are non-odorless and non-food-grade.

Symbol: ARPEA00 (daily), ARPEA04 (weekly average), ARPEA03 (monthly average)

R-PP Natural Pellets: Natural colored recycled PP pellets from post-consumer waste, with an MFI of 20-25 g/10min tested at 230 degC/2.16kg. Pellets are non-odorless and non-food-grade.

Symbol: ARPEB00 (daily), ARPEB04 (weekly average), ARPEB03 (monthly average)
