S&P Global Platts will add the Indonesian port of Dumai to its daily CFR Southeast Asia methanol assessment, effective January 4, 2021.
Following market feedback and Platts' observation of increased methanol cargo deliveries to Dumai, Platts has decided to include the Indonesian port to the basket of ports reflected in its CFR Southeast Asia methanol assessment.
Platts will also reflect Port Klang, Kuantan, Dumai and Singapore as the price basis of its CFR Southeast Asia assessment, while deliveries to all other Southeast Asian ports will be normalized to this basket of ports applying freight differentials.
