SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes expanding list of ports reflected for LSFO Med cargoes

London (Platts)--20Jun2018/103 pm EDT/1703 GMT S&P Global Platts is proposing to expand the list of ports reflected in its Market on Close assessment process for Mediterranean low sulfur fuel oil cargoes, effective July 2, 2018.

Platts currently publishes bids and offers into the following five locations: Milazzo, Malta, Gibraltar, Algeciras, and Ceuta, as detailed in a subscriber note available here: https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/10222785. Following market feedback Platts understands that the following ten ports are also regular importers of low sulfur fuel oil: Lavrion, Atherinolakkos, Vassilikos, Agioi Theodori, Eleusis, Beirut, Aliaga, Barcelona, Livorno, and Naples.

Platts proposes, effective July 2, 2018, to start publishing bids and offers for these ports in the MOC, in addition to the five ports currently reflected.

Platts is requesting feedback on all aspects of this proposal, including the suitability of the new ports listed, and whether additional reports should also be reflected.

Please send any comments, questions or feedback by June 25 to europe_products@spglobal.com with a CC to pricegroup@spglobal.com.
