Platts is seeking feedback on a proposal to discontinue FOB Singapore ethanol assessments effective January 31, 2015, including the daily AAWAD00, weekly AAWAD04, and monthly AAWAD03 assessments. The discontinuation of these assessments is proposed due to changes in spot market developments as participants no longer break bulk ethanol cargoes in Singapore. Most Brazilian and US ethanol cargoes, the main source of supply for the Philippines, head directly to the Philippines rather than transshipping from Singapore to the Philippines. Please send feedback by July 30 to asia_ags@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available to the public upon request.
