Platts proposes defining the assessment period for fixtures that are considered for inclusion in its West Coast India to Singapore, and West Coast India to Japan, 30 kt clean tanker rate assessments.
Based on initial industry feedback, Platts' Medium Range (MR) 30kt assessments would reflect the value of cargoes fixed for lift 11 days forward or later.
Vessels fixed for lifting cargoes 10 days or less from the date of assessment would be considered prompt fixtures and may be normalized for the purposes of assessment.
Platts East of Suez clean tanker rate assessments appear on Platts Global Alert real-time pages PGA 136 and PGA 955, and in the Platts Clean Tankerwire.
