SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to add specs for Atlantic Basin blast furnace iron ore pellets assessments

Platts has decided to publish, starting July, 1, 2015, underlying product specifications for the Atlantic Basin Blast Furnace Iron Ore Pellets Estimated Monthly Contract Price, and for the associated Pellet Premium. The specifications are as follows: 65% Fe; silica 3%; alumina 0.5%; CCS 275; LTD +6.3 mm, 80; sizing over 9 mm is 94%; sizing below 6.3 mm 2.5%. The assessments are published in Platts SBB Steel Markets Daily, on Platts Metals Alert and in the Platts SBB Steel Price Analyzer. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
