Platts will change petrochemical weekly contract price to monthly publishing for retroactive contracts

Platts will be publishing the monthly contract prices for the following petrochemical assessments once per month, changing from publishing once per week effective June 1, 2022.

Under this change, the monthly propylene, ethylene, paraxylene, and purified terephthalic acid contract prices, which settle retroactively, will now be published on the first working day of the month for which it settled. For example, when May ethylene settles the first week of June, the price will be published for May 2. Prices were previously published every Friday of the month for which the contract settled.
