Subscriber note: Final notice of dating change in bidweek gas assessments

As announced on November 30, 2012, Platts, staring June 1, 2013, will begin dating its first-of-the-month bidweek natural gas assessments on the first calendar day of the month, including instances when the first calendar day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday. On occasion, the first business day of the month -- the date on which the assessments are published -- occurs after the first calendar day of the month because of a weekend, holiday or both. Currently, in those instances, the first-of-the-month bidweek natural gas assessments are dated one or more days after the first calendar day of the month in Platts' data delivery services. The change would ensure that first-of-the-month bidweek gas assessments are always dated on the first calendar day of the month, even when the assessments are published one or more days later. Platts has provided six months' notice of its intent to always date the first-of-the-month bidweek natural gas assessments on the first calendar day of the month to provide subscribers and vendors sufficient time to make necessary adjustments. The change will take effect Monday, June 3, 2013, when the first-of-the- month bidweek gas assessments published that day would be dated June 1, 2013, in data delivery services.
