Subscriber Note: Platts amends Worldscale rates for assessments including port of Skikda

Effective June 1, 2020, S&P Global Platts will amend the Worldscale rate for all assessments in both Dirty Tankerwire and Clean Tankerwire using the port of Skikda, Algeria, for loading and discharge.

The amendment involves an added value of +$0.87/mt to all flat rates involving Skikda loading and discharge.

The change comes on the back of a new towage tariff structure introduced at the port, increasing towage costs by a significant amount for both loading and discharge, according to the Worldscale Association.
