Effective June 1, 2020, S&P Global Platts will amend the Worldscale rate for all assessments in both Dirty Tankerwire and Clean Tankerwire using the port of Skikda, Algeria, for loading and discharge.
The amendment involves an added value of +$0.87/mt to all flat rates involving Skikda loading and discharge.
The change comes on the back of a new towage tariff structure introduced at the port, increasing towage costs by a significant amount for both loading and discharge, according to the Worldscale Association.

S&P Global Platts will also amend the Skikda-Augusta Worldscale flat rate referenced in the Crude Oil Methodology guide.
Platts reflects 0.1%S CIF Mediterranean Gasoil (Code: AAVJJ00) bids and offers basis Skikda in its Market on Close assessment process and normalizes those indications back to the reference port of Genoa.
