In response to market developments, S&P Global Platts will stop publishing an assessment rationale for the Singapore-Japan 30,000 mt Medium Range clean tanker route, effective July 3, 2017. The rationale applies to the market data code: TCABP00.
The Singapore-Japan 30 kt clean tanker assessment will continue to appear in the Clean Tankerwire publication.
The East of Suez market has witnessed changes to clean petroleum product trade flow over the last two years. This has reduced liquidity on the Singapore-Japan Medium Range clean tanker route. Consequently, freight futures or Forward Freight Agreements that were settled basis the Platts Singapore-Japan 30 kt clean tanker freight assessment have ceased to trade.
