SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to revise regional Latin and Central America Gasoil Index

Following a feedback period that started April 22, Platts has decided to update the assessments and weighting used in the Latin and Central America Gasoil Index, a regional index which also forms part of the Platts World Gasoil Index, to reflect changing market dynamics and specifications.

The three indices directly affected by the update are:

Assessment Code Gasoil Index Latin America Cts/Gal PGLAT07 Gasoil Index Latin America $/Bbl PGLAT08 Gasoil Index Latin America $/MT PGLAT09

Ten major regions are represented in the global index, and each region is comprised of assessments of the value of various specifications of gasoil at specific trading locations. Each of the individual Platts assessments is given a weighting in the regional baskets, based primarily on uplift data and trading volume.

The Latin and Central America gasoil index is currently made up of three assessments:

Assessment Code Weight Gasoil Argentina Spot POAFH00 10% Gasoil Carib Spot POAAU00 30% No2 US Gulf Coast Waterborne POAEE00 60%

Platts has decided to change the composition of the index to the following six assessments:

Assessment Code Weight Argentina ULSD AAXWZ00 10% Ecuador ULSD AAXWF00 10% Mexico ULSD AAXWE00 15% Peru ULSD AAXWY00 15% Gulf Coast Export ULSD AAXRV00 40% No2 US Gulf Coast Waterborne POAEE00 10%

The changes will be made to reflect increased flow of ULSD into Latin America, specifically from the US Gulf Coast, the decrease in flows of high sulfur heating oil into the region, and the July 1, 2016, discontinuation of the Platts Caribbean and Argentina gasoil assessments.

Platts has decided to implement these changes effective June 1, 2016.
