Platts to launch new FOB NY harbor fuel oil assessments

Platts will launch two new US Atlantic Coast residual fuel oil assessments on a FOB New York Harbor basis.

Starting July 2, Platts will begin publishing assessments for No. 6, 1% sulfur fuel oil basis FOB New York Harbor, and RMG 380 fuel oil basis FOB New York Harbor. Both assessments will reflect minimum volume of 25,000 barrels.

Specifications for the new 1% assessment will be in line with Platts' existing USAC No. 6 1%S specification. Similarly, the specification for the new RMG 380 assessment will be in line with Platts' existing US Gulf Coast RMG 380 basis.

Platts will publish these two assessments on Platts Global Alert page 510, in US Marketscan, Oilgram Price Report and Platts Market Data.
