Platts confirms that it will clarify the description of its Medium Range clean tanker demurrage assessment, which reflects the demurrage rate for MR tankers loading 37,000 mt cargoes in the UK Continent and discharging on the US Atlantic Coast by specifying the exact route and tanker size used, effective June 1, 2015.
The name of this assessment, which appears on the fixed page PGA - MH1910 will be amended from the current "Clean Demurrage FOB Europe" to "Clean MR demurrage UKC-USAC". The description will also be changed on the Clean Tankerwire publication from the current "Europe clean demurrage" to "MR demurrage UKC-USAC" to clarify the actual route being assessed.
This route will continue to be assessed in $'000/day with no changes to the assessment methodology and only the relevant descriptions will be amended.
