Effective August 1, Platts proposes to reflect in its Northwest European fuel ethanol barge assessments bids and offers which specify any one of the three five-day loading periods available within the full loading range. For example, the front 5 days of the loading period (front-end), the middle 5 days of the loading period (mid-window) or the back 5 days of the loading period (back-end) will be reflected in the assessment. Platts therefore proposes to stop reflecting full window bids and offers where the buyer retains the option to nominate loading dates at any point in the loading period. Platts fuel ethanol assessments will continue to reflect the value of product loading between 3 to 15 days (on Mondays and Tuesday) or 5 to 15 days (from Wednesdays to Fridays) from the day of publication. Please provide feedback by June 14 to biofuels@platts.com with copy to pricegroup@platts.com.
