SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to move some Americas petrochemicals MOC to 2:30 pm ET close

Following a period of feedback after a formal proposal published April 1, 2016, as well as a previous public consultation and review period, Platts has decided to amend the time stamp reflected in its Americas daily spot methyl tertiary butyl ether (PHAKY00), toluene (PHAAR00, AASMY00) mixed xylene (PHBHN00, AASMZ00) and propylene (AAIKS00, PHAXJ04, PHAAA00) assessments to reflect a 2:30 pm EST close.

Currently, all Platts assessments in these petrochemical markets for the Americas reflect a closing value of 3:15 pm EST. Platts launched a formal consultation into the closing time for its oil, petrochemicals and agriculture assessments in the Americas on January 26, 2016.

Platts invites comments, questions and other feedback by May 18, 2016, with a view to implementation of the time changes July 1, 2016.
