Platts to revise CIF Japan ferrochrome specs

Platts is planning to revise the specifications of its 50-60% CIF Japan ferrochrome price due to changes in market trends.

As grades are trading in the marketplace with a higher ferrochrome content, Platts is considering incorporating trades of up to 65% with an effective normalization of around 60% ferrochrome.

The proposed date change for the higher standard is June 1, 2010.
