S&P Global Platts proposes to launch a new Kozmino to North China dirty Aframax tanker assessment, effective July 2, 2018.
Platts has observed growing liquidity on the Kozmino to North China dirty tanker route with ESPO crude cargoes predominantly fixed basis a stem size of 100,000 mt.
Close to 60% of the global supply of crude loaded from Kozmino is destined for China. Around 15 dirty Aframax fixtures are concluded on a monthly basis on this route, according to fixture data tracked by Platts.
The Kozmino to North China 100,000 mt assessment would be published on a lumpsum basis and expressed as US dollars per voyage. The lumpsum assessments would also be published in dollars per metric ton, which would be calculated by dividing the primary lumpsum assessments by the cargo size reflected in the assessment.
The assessment would reflect loadings from Kozmino and discharges into North China ports such as Qingdao, Dalian, Laizhou and Longkou.
