Platts updates name of cost-based HVO/renewable diesel prices
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights has updated the name of its renewable diesel (RD) price assessments that are based on the cost of production to differentiate them from new market-based RD assessments, effective from May 1.
Platts has also standardized the terminology for these assessments as renewable diesel, rather than HVO, to align global coverage.
The calculation method and specifications for these assessments is unchanged.
The prices are renamed as follows:
