SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts begins publishing OSP for Nigeria's Egina crude oil

S&P Global Platts has begun publishing the official selling price for Nigeria's Egina crude grade, effective Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

Platts will publish the OSP as both a differential and an outright value on a monthly basis as received from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

These new prices will be published along with Platts existing Nigerian OSPs on Platts Global Alert page 1065 and in the Platts pricing database under the below codes:

Production of Egina began in late December 2018, with the first cargoes available for export from January.

The crude, expected to become one of Nigeria's largest export grades, is heavy and sweet in quality with an API of 27.3 degrees and a sulfur content of 0.165. It is also low acid, with a TAN of 0.24.
