Platts launches CFR India soda ash spot, DDP Northwest Europe contract price assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched a weekly CFR India soda ash (light) spot assessment and soda ash contract price assessments for Northwest Europe, effective April 30, 2024.

The NWE assessments for both light and dense soda ash, published in Eur/mt, reflect the current quarter's contracted values for a medium-sized buyer. Platts defines a contract price as one freely negotiated against an annual commitment to supply or procure regular volumes.

The new assessments a re published in line with regional publication calendar, taking into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Singapore time for CFR India soda ash, and 4:30 London time for DDP Northwest Europe soda ash.
