SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes new UK Continent-UK Continent Handysize clean tanker assessment

S&P Global Platts proposes to launch a new clean Handysize tanker freight rate assessment reflecting petroleum products flows within the UK Continent effective June 1, 2018.

The new daily assessment would aim to capture established supply trends of refined products. The new assessment would reflect modern Handysize tonnage.

The assessment would be published on a Worldscale basis to reflect how this route is most commonly traded. Platts would also publish a dollars per metric ton value for this route.

UK CONTINENT TO UK CONTINENT: This assessment would reflect the UK Continent to UK Continent route for a clean Handysize tanker carrying a cargo of 30,000 mt. The assessment would reflect loadings from Rotterdam, Bjofjorden, and Donges in the Loire river, with discharge at ports including Antwerp, Immingham and Thurrock in the Thames.

This new assessment would be published in Platts Clean Tankerwire and Platts Tanker Alert page PGT 1910. Please send all comments or questions by May 14, 2018 to tankers@spglobal.com and pricegroup@spglobal.com.
