Having reviewed its market reporting of Central and Eastern European and Turkish power markets, Platts seeks feedback on a proposal to discontinue its daily power price assessments for the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Turkey by the end of July 2016.
Platts remains committed to providing quality market information and commentary in all European power markets and will continue reporting on the above markets' activity, news, events and policy. Platts European power price assessments will continue to focus on Europe's more liquid OTC prompt and forward markets.
The assessments being considered for discontinuation are listed below and are published in Platts European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 210 (Czech), 78 (Hungary), 91 (Poland) and 260 (Turkey) and in Market Data category EE. Associated dynamic symbols in Market Data category PE would also be discontinued under this proposal.
Any discontinuation of Turkish power assessments would result in the discontinuation of the Turkish dark and spark spreads published in European Power Daily, on European Power Alert page 261 and in Market Data categories EE and EM.
