Platts clarifies on decision to change forex assessment names for Latin America I-REC assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, would like to clarify that it will rename forex symbols as part of the timestamp and publishing schedule change for Brazil, Chile and Mexico I-REC assessments, effective April 29, 2024.

The new symbol names will reflect the decision to change the timestamp and holiday schedule for Brazil, Chile and Mexico I-REC and corresponding forex assessments announced April 2.

Details of the symbol name changes are as follows:

Assessment Name New Assessment Name Assessment Code
USD/CLP Spot Forex 3:30 Houston USD/CLP Spot Forex 3:30 Mexico City CACLP00
USD/EUR Spot Forex 3:30 Houston USD/EUR Spot Forex 3:30 Mexico City CAEUR00
USD/MXN Spot Forex 3:30 Houston USD/MXN Spot Forex 3:30 Mexico City CAMXN00

The name change will align with the previously announced decision to move the forex and assessments to a Mexico publishing schedule.
